Tangle Ridge successfully completed highway improvements along Km 501 to Km 509 of the Alaska Highway between Fort Nelson and Toad River, BC. The project included roadway widening, drainage enhancements, culvert installations, interceptor ditch relocation, and the safe deactivation of a former highway alignment.

Tangle Ridge successfully completed highway improvements along Km 501 to Km 509 of the Alaska Highway between Fort Nelson and Toad River, BC. The project included roadway widening, drainage enhancements, culvert installations, interceptor ditch relocation, and the safe deactivation of a former highway alignment.
Scope of Work
- Stripped approximately 24,000 m³ of organics within the designated construction footprint, including loading, hauling, and stockpiling offsite.
- Excavated, transported, placed, and compacted approximately 60,000 m³ of material for roadway embankment.
- Supplied and installed 10 new steel pipe culverts using trenchless pipe jacking methods, completed with end protection, riprap, nonwoven geotextile and bentonite.
- Relocated the existing interceptor ditch, including the excavation of approximately 52,000 m³ for the new ditch alignment and the infilling of approximately 17,000 m³ of the existing channel.
- Completed final site grading and landscape restoration.
