Tangle Ridge managed and executed the deactivation of the former Alaska Highway from Km 845 to Km 861 near Fireside, British Columbia. The project focused on removing culverts, infrastructure, and debris from the former highway alignment to reduce environmental and physical liabilities while supporting long-term site restoration and environmental stewardship.

Scope of Work
- Excavated, stockpiled, loaded, transported, and disposed of 42 culverts and approximately 700 tonnes of contaminated soil from the former highway alignment.
- Constructed cross ditches within former culvert voids using riprap and coco matting to provide effective drainage and erosion control.
- Removed approximately 20,000 linear meters of former highway.
- Supplied and planted seed approximately 20,000 meters of former alignment.
- Completed final site grading and landscape restoration.
