Tangle Ridge oversaw the management and execution of the remediation of a petroleum hydrocarbon soils and surficial debris at the Lubicon First Nations near Little Buffalo, Alberta. The overall project goals were to remove garbage and Petroleum Hydrocarbon impacted soils to ensure the environmental liabilities were properly managed and or removed.

The overall project goals were to remove garbage and Petroleum Hydrocarbon impacted soils to ensure the environmental liabilities were properly managed and or removed.
Scope of Work
- Partner with local First Nation companies to provide opportunities for gainful employment;
- Provide all site facilities such as construction fencing necessary to perform the work;
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Safety Plan to safely execute the work;
- Demolish, Load, Transport and Disposal of a collapsed quonset building;
- Inert, excavate and decommission an abandoned underground storage tank;
- Sort, load, transport of approximately 150 bins of surface garbage over 12 locations within the Lubicon borders;
- Excavate, load, transport and dispose of 5,000 metric tonnes of impacted material to Class 2 Landfill;
- Supply and place 5,000 metric tonnes of backfill;
- Final site grading and landscape restoration.
