Tangle Ridge executed the remediation of a petroleum hydrocarbon soils at a former highway maintenance yard in Trutch, British Columbia. The overall project goals were to remove Petroleum Hydrocarbon impacted soils to ensure the environmental liabilities were properly managed and or removed. Work was successfully completed in a remote location during extreme winter weather conditions.

Scope of Work
- Provide all site facilities such as heated office and living quarters, and suitable excavation equipment necessary to perform the work;
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Safety Plan to safely execute the work;
- Complete initial and final site topographic surveys;
- Excavate, load, transport and disposal of approximately 20,000 metric tonnes of impacted soil to landfill.;
- Load transport and place 13,250 cubic metres of backfill sourced from Highways Department gravel pit;
- Final site grading and landscape restoration.
